Sunday January 27th 2013

Latitude: 54,34,24S
Longitude: 63,17,12W
Course: 196 degrees
Speed: 19.5 knots
Status: Day 23 – at sea
Notes: Despite travelling south again, it has warmed up a little, the skies have cleared and the sea is much calmer. In the distance we saw a yacht and we were advised by the bridge that this yachtsman is sailing around the world. He has apparently encountered some rough weather on his travels! At a coffee morning today I met and chatted to a lady who also used to work for BT, as I did. It was entertaining, because soon we were swapping memories in jargon that others at our table simply could not understand! We should reach Cape Horn soon. I have been looking at a map of the area and not too far from Ushuaia there is a place called Puerto Williams…
